How this magazine earns the trust of people who know the water.
News is checked against official sources: shipyards, show organisers, brokers, and reputable reporting. Every article lists its sources. Figures about markets, deliveries, and order books come from the underlying reports, and we say which ones. When two credible sources disagree, we say so and explain the figure we report.
We never invent facts, quotations, interviews, sea trials, specifications, prices, deliveries, or people. If a fact cannot be verified, we leave it out or say plainly that it is unknown.
Our reviews are based on published specifications and reported sea trials, and we say plainly what we have and have not experienced ourselves. No sea trial or visit is ever claimed when none took place.
Photographs of real yachts, harbours, and places are real photographs, credited to their makers and used under their stated licenses. Where an image is representative rather than the named vessel, the caption says so. We never present a generated image as a photograph of a real yacht, and any illustration is disclosed as such.
Shipyards, brokers, and brands cannot buy coverage. Samples, invitations, and technical briefings do not purchase a favourable word, and any material commercial relationship is disclosed in the article. Editorial coverage is never for sale.
